The purpose of this article is to give an overview of the register navigation and highlight the key benefits of this new layout.
For demonstration purposes, this article is based on the Early Warnings Register.
Video content is available at the end of this article.
To access the event registers in your contract, navigate to the left-hand menu, then select Registers.
The layout of the new register format will look as per the below screenshot. All early warnings raised and communicated in the contract will be available here.
At the bottom of the register, you can change how many rows are displayed per page. By default, 50 events will be displayed.
To open an event, simply select the row from the register or use the three vertical dots on the far right-hand side.
The following menu will pop up when selecting the dots. Here, you can either select to open the event or, if it is a draft event, to mark it as void.
In the new registers, it is now possible to create a new event from the register itself, rather than having to do this via the left-hand expandable menu. To do this, select the below-highlighted button from the top-right corner of the register.
The formatting of the register can be toggled on or off, to suit your requirement. To do this, select the cog icon.
The icons on the left display what additional information each event has associated with it, i.e. associations, notes, attachments or tags. Hovering over each will provide more information.
If an EW has risk reduction proposals submitted against it, then the plus icon will be dark grey. Select the icon to open up a tray which contains the RRPs. An overview of each RRP can be viewed here and you can also select the backwards arrow to open up the RRP in the event.
Selecting the download icon will provide you with the option of exporting these RRPs to CSV or exporting all RRPs from the contract.
The entire register is now exportable in a CSV format, allowing for easier reading, manipulation and filtering. Selecting the download icon will provide you with two options. You can either download the entirety of the EW register or download the register as you have filtered it (see the Filtering and Sorting the Register section below)
Should you wish to set a particular event register as your homepage for a contract, you can select the home icon.
Selecting the ? icon will present you with the below options. Selecting CEMAR Support will take you to the help article related to the module register you are currently in. For example, selecting this from the Early Warning register will take you to the Early Warning help article. Selecting NEC Online Training will take you to the direct NEC website.
The register view is now customisable, providing each user with the opportunity to tailor the register to display the information that is most important to them.
By selecting the Columns button, you can choose which columns you wish to view.
Each column's size and position in the register can be adjusted.
To adjust the size, select the edge of the column and drag it sideways to increase or decrease the size.
To reposition the column, select the title, e.g. 'Ref', and drag the column to the desired position.
Once you are happy with the layout, you can select the save icon to ensure that this layout remains the same event when navigating away from the register.
To undo any changes you have made to the register before saving its profile, select the undo icon highlighted below.
Several options can be found when selecting the Filters button to assist with refining the events in your register. Selecting a column will automatically update the Operator field to suit the type of data, e.g. text or date.
Select the plus icon to add multiple filters at once.
Clicking out of the filters section will update the register in line with your criteria.
The icon next to the filter button indicates how many filters are in action. Hover over this to see an overview of how the register is filtered.
Each column has a menu option which provides sorting functionalities. This can be accessed via the three vertical dots that will become available when you hover over the column heading.
Note, that it is now possible to pin a column should you require it.
This can be undone by selecting the three vertical dots again, followed by Unpin.
