In the following article we will show you the download options in your project room: list download, file download, download current view as PDF and file download from a message.
First, select the data you want to output as a list; if you do not select anything, the entire filter will be selected
Select the List Download icon on the right of the page.
Enter a name for the list, e.g. Drawing list, under Export file name (without suffix).
You can then choose between the following report formats:
- default PDF format
- default Excel format
- default CSV format
In the +Report options and +extended options areas, you can select further options depending on the format selected.
To initiate the creation of the list, select provide report.
The Report protocol is processed and afterwards, for smaller datafiles, you can download the list directly via Download file. After the download you can close the window.
With large datafiles, the list is provided in the background. You will then receive a message from <Thinkproject System Service > In the Messages area under My messages and Received with the download link for your list.
To save or print a PDF list of your current filter view, select the settings icon in the top right corner of the relevant filter and click on Print current view.
Only the columns that fit in the selected format are displayed on the PDF file. Under More settings you can adjust the format and the scaling accordingly.
Under the Destination drop-down menu, select either your printer to print out the file directly or save it as a PDF to download it.
The selected files are packed as ZIP / RAR files for download. If you do not select anything, the entire filter will be selected.
A maximum of 100 files can be downloaded at once.
Select the File Download icon on the right of the page.
Enter a name for the folder, e.g. Drawing list, under Export file name (without suffix).
You can also select certain file formats of the document type for download (if available), e.g. PDF file (+), CAD file, other files, and test files.
If you see a file name with a (+), e.g. PDF (+), it is a file with imprinted information e.g., a QR code. This format is usually pre-selected for download. You can also download the original file without a QR code here. However, this should only be used if essential information has been overwritten by the QR code.
In the + Archive Options and +extended Options areas, you can select further options depending on the format selected.
To start downloading the data, select Create archive for export.
The export protocol is processed and then you can download the data directly via Download file. After the download you can close the window.
When downloading a larger amount of datafiles from the Project the download process will happen in the background, and you will then be able to find the folder within the clipboard area.
If you want to download all documents attached to a message at the same time, open the corresponding message.
To do this, select Documents at the top left and open your messages section and the corresponding sub-filter (Sent / Received / Unread) in the navigation area below. There you have an overview of the relevant messages. To open it, click the envelope icon at the beginning of the message.
A new window will open showing you the content of the message, select the paperclip symbol in the upper right corner to download the files that were sent with this message.
Another window will now open in which you can specify further settings for your file download. You can find more detailed instructions on how to do this under the previous point File download.
Screenshots are an example. The interface of your platform may look different, but the processes remain the same.
Some of the functions shown may differ slightly depending on the release version of your project room.
