The purpose of this article is to explain how a user with Contract Admin rights can create Task Order (TO) Categories within the CEMAR Admin Panel.
Your ability to access specific contracts can be impacted by the admin rights you have been granted, please review this before proceeding by navigating to your profile in the Admin Panel – Access & Security.
- If you are a Contract Admin with access restricted to specific contracts, you will only be able to access contracts where you have been allocated Admin Rights for
- Changes can only be made where you Contract Access Level is Full Access
If you are unable to complete this admin task due to not having access, please speak to your organisation admins or contact thinkproject support.

Task Order Categories
The below article is based upon the NEC3_TSC Contract type and the terminology reflects this. Certain actions may be unavailable if you do not have the appropriate permissions. Please speak with your Superuser if this is the case.
Firstly, open the Contract and navigate to the Events tab:
Within here, select Task Orders:
If the TO Categories are yet to be amended, they will display as Category One, Category Two, Category Three etc, and the Category Name will be Not Used:
To amend a Category Group name, select the group from the drop-down list:
Next, click on the 3 dots and press Rename:
You will then be presented with a pop-up box whereby you can rename the category group, followed by clicking Update:
To add a category to the category group, select the + icon:
A pop-up will then display prompting you to enter the category name. Once done, select Add:
Should you wish to remove your newly created category, select the bin icon:
Please note, it is only possible to have five category groups, however, you can create as many categories within these groups as you wish.
