Cloning a Role
Cloning a role can be useful if you wish to create an additional role which mostly replicates an existing role. For example, you may wish to add the ability to communicate GCs to the existing Drafter role. By cloning an existing role. this process is expedited.
To do this, start by entering the CEMAR Admin Panel and then select the Contracts tab. Within here, search for the desired contract via the search icon and field and select the pencil icon to enter the contract.
From here, enter the Roles and Permissions tab. Locate the role you wish to clone within either the Employer's or Contractor's Party.
Once the role is selected, click the three dots, as highlighted below, followed by Clone.
The cloned role will then appear within the drop-down list with an asterisk next to it (an * indicates there are unsaved changes). You are able to rename this by selecting the three vertical dots and choosing Rename.
Once you've renamed the role, use the tick boxes to make the amendments to the permissions and ensure to press the save icon in the top right-hand corner.
Once saved, the asterisk will be removed and you'll be able to assign the role to users in the contract.
