Manage User Permissions for Document Folders

The purpose of this article is to explain how to manage user permissions for document folders. 

Managing permissions in the Documents module gives you the ability to choose who has access to certain folders.

 

Note

To set the permission you need to have the user right enabled Can Configure Folder Permissions - 1246 

  1. Select Documents
  2. Mouse over the folder you wish to manage user permissions and click the cog icon

  3. From the pop-up window, click the ACL tab
  4. Existing Roles and Groups for your project will be displayed. Select the permissions for each role

    The available options are:

    No permission

    (all icons are greyed out)

    Step_no_permission.png

    View only

    (the eye icon is NOT greyed out)

    Step_view_only.png

    View only & receive notifications by email

    (the eye and mail icon are NOT greyed out)

    Step_view_only_and_mail.png

    Edit

    (the eye and pen icons are NOT greyed out)

    Edit & receive notifications by email

    (all icons are NOT greyed out)
