The purpose of this article is to explain in a step-by-step guide how offline archive users can set up their archived projects so that they can be accessed with one exe instead of opening a single exe for each project individually.
- Download all your archives one-by-one as a zip file.
- Extract the contents of each zip folder. In this example we will work with 2 archives A and B
- Chose any archive to be the master archive. This archives exe will later be used to access all your archives together. In this example we will choose archive A as the master.
- For each of the remaining, non-master, archives
- open the archive folder
- find the folder that starts with the project short name
- Copy this folder by right-clicking on the folder and chose Copy or use the shortcut Ctrl+C.
Afterwards paste it into the master archive by opening the master archive and right-clicking and choosing Paste or the shortcut Ctrl+V.
The content of both archives is now contained within the same folder, as shown below.
- To avoid confusion for later use, you can rename the master folder, so it is clear that this contains multiple archives.
In our example we renamed the folder for archive A "Multiple Archives".
Folders can be renamed by right-clicking on the folder an choosing Rename.
- You can now open the Thinkproject.exe file from your master archive to view multiple archives in the same exe. Click on the according project to open the archive.
If you want to navigate back to the archive overview, click on Go back to projects in your archive.
Note
Archives created after 01 Nov 2023 are not backward compatible with archives created before 01 Nov 2023. So, if you download a new archive after 01 Nov 2023, you must make this new archive the master archive and paste the archive directories from non-master archives into this new master archive.
The archive will NOT work if you keep an archive created BEFORE 01 Nov 2023 as the master archive and paste directory of archive created AFTER 01 Nov 2023 into this master.
